Valentine Love

Hi, I am hosting today at The MODSQUAD CHALLENGE. Our sponsor for this 2 WEEK challenge is Kitchen Sink Stamps.

I used mostly Gina K ink to stamp the various layers.  These stamps really make a realistic flower without coloring!  I started with 2 card bases, one white and 1 with Neenah Desert Storm, both at 4.25" X 11" scored at 5.5"

I stamped on a card front of 4.25" X 5.5" of white. Start with the flowers, there are 4 steps. I started from my lightest to darkest colors (listed in order of use below). Then stamped the stems 1 at a time. The inks are listed in order at teh end of the post.

I cut out the images using an Stitched Scallop Rectangle die from Gina Marie. She has a lot of dies at great prices and they cut great.

I cut some foam tape into thin strips to pop up the frame slighly and applied to the cardbase front. The glue the image portion directly onto the cardbase so the frame is slightly elevated. Add a few hearts and done!

For the card using Neenah Desert Storm cardstock,  I stamped directly on the cardbase. I used the same inks and got a different look. Once the layers were stamped I used layer 1 of flowers and stems and stamped on top using Versamark (clear sticky ink) and coated with Clear embossing powder and heat set. This works great as a "fake" mask.

Then stamped the text background using Distress Oxide Frayed Burlap. I also added some of the stamp layers randomly over the text for texture. The stamp set has text, a layered pen and a layered stamp. I sponged the edges and also lightly went over the card using Distress Oxide Vintage Photo. The edge wasn't sharp enough for me so I sponged edges and corners with Distress Vintage Photo.
